Give a Fake Palm Tree a Chance

"Fake palm tree" sounds like such a derogatory term. The word fake is not usually a nice term. Fake usually refers to something totally illegitimate. That really doesn't seem like an accurate assessment of the common artificial palm tree, even though it is made of artificial, rather than natural, components.

A fake palm tree is not a lesser product than a real palm tree. While it would be wonderful to own a living, breathing palm tree, for various reasons, that may not always be possible. For instance, you might live in the wrong climate and have poor soil. If it is not possible, then alternative means have to be explored - such as purchasing a fake palm tree.

You might immediately conjure up an extremely cheesy image in your head when you think of a "fake palm tree," but this doesn't have to be the case. If you check out businesses like "Buy Palm Trees" you might be astounded by the quality of the fake palm trees. Some are giant, iron models with glowing lights implanted in them, making them appear to glow fluorescent colors. These fake trees are actually relatively inexpensive.

Just because a fake palm conjures up cheesy connotations does not mean it isn't a viable decorating option. If you want to enhance the environment in a room with a low-maintenance decoration, a fake palm tree may be an even better option than an indoor palm tree.

Now, if you're looking for a tree that looks more realistic, rather than flashy, you may want to check out Silk Flowers, which sells a variety of different trees. Their most expensive model is the Butterfly Palm, which appears to be quite majestic, even though it is "fake." The price on this model is $250. Silk Flowers also offers other, cheaper models, including the Dracaena, which is sells for as little as $150, but has sparse leaves.
