Enjoy the Scenery of the Tropics with a Silk Palm TreeSponsored Links
Spring reminds us of the cool and breezy climate of the tropics. Everything is green and moist, and the skies are clear. Spring, however, doesn't come everyday and we need to endure the sweltering heat of summer and biting cold of winter. With this, a thought suddenly strikes you. Why not have the ambiance of spring and the tropics at your own backyard all year? Yes, it is possible. Today, a tropical themed backyard is not anymore a far-fetched idea. Three quarters of the palm tree species can't live in the United States. Tropical and Mediterranean climates are their natural habitat. Only the 'hardy palms' can live in the US soil, or palm trees that can survive extreme heat and cold. If watering and cutting palm trees were fine with you, you can purchase a couple of hardy palm trees for your Tropical Garden. However, if you lack the time and a green thumb, a silk palm tree is the best substitute.
A silk palm tree looks real and alive specially when it is in the company of real shrubs, ornamental plants, orchids and grasses. It can even last longer than the real ones. A silk palm tree, as it name implies, is made of fine silk specifically its leaves, stems and seeds. Trunks are usually made of real trunk of a palm tree, preserved with chemicals to slow down its decomposition. Artificial plant makers sell the silk palm tree, either per item to individual costumers or in bulk to professional landscapers. Silk palm tree species are mostly the popular ones that can't be seen around, like Date Palm Tree or the 'Palms Sunday' palm tree or the beautiful, fan-leaved Madagascar Palm Tree.
